4. Child Privacy & POCSO Compliance
As an institution serving children under the age of 18, the School places supreme importance on child safety and privacy. In full compliance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012:
- Photographs or videos of students are not shared publicly without explicit written parental consent
- Student records and personal data are accessible only to authorised school staff and the student's parents/guardians
- Any breach of student data or child safety concern must be immediately reported to the Principal and/or the local police station at Nainital
- The School designates a Child Protection Officer (CPO) responsible for handling all child data and safety matters
5. Sharing of Information

- Government bodies: DISE, Uttarakhand Board, Ministry of Education — as required under applicable law
- Legal compliance: Courts, law enforcement, or statutory authorities when required by a valid court order or applicable law

6. Data Retention
Student academic records (mark sheets, attendance registers, fee records) are retained for a minimum period of 5 years after a student's last date of enrollment, in accordance with Uttarakhand Board requirements. Transfer certificates and migration documents are retained permanently. Website enquiry data is retained for a maximum of 12 months.
